Maker Lab: PreK–5
iGeners get hands-on with engineering, invention, and creativity in our Maker Lab! Students explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts through engaging, hands-on activities designed for their age group.
For PreK–1:
Young makers gather simple tools and materials to tinker, design, and create, while developing problem-solving, brainstorming, and engineering skills. Activities may include balloon-powered cars, cotton ball launches, geometric art projects, and paper circuits.
For Grades 2–5:
Older students use Makey Makey to turn everyday objects into interactive inventions. They’ll transform bananas, foil, and more into touchpads, design interactive art projects, and create fun gadgets like cardboard smart swords or game scoreboards. No programming experience is required—students simply plug, clip, and play while exploring engineering and STEM concepts.
Putting the "A" in STEM
In this class, your child will explore science, technology, engineering, and math through fun, hands-on art projects! They’ll get to create, experiment, and problem-solve while building critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills. It’s the perfect way to make learning exciting and meaningful for young innovators.
Get Ready to Code, Create, and Have Fun!
In this hands-on course, students will dive into the exciting world of coding using Scratch, a kid-friendly programming platform. Using colorful blocks and drag-and-drop tools, they’ll bring their ideas to life by building simple games, interactive stories, and animated scenes.
This course introduces key coding concepts like sequences, loops, and events in a fun and engaging way. Along the journey, kids will strengthen problem-solving skills, express creativity, and build confidence as digital creators. No prior experience is needed—just imagination and curiosity!
For our Pre-K and Kindergarten students, coding begins unplugged—learning fundamental concepts through physical activities without screens. They’ll then move on to coding a character as part of an outdoor adventure, and midway through the course, they’ll be introduced to Scratch Jr. to start coding on tablets.
Lego Club
iGeners will dive into STEAM-based learning through LEGO building! From open-ended creations to structured design challenges, students explore engineering concepts while developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Every session encourages imagination and hands-on exploration—perfect for young innovators!
Mad Science Mondays: Discover the Scientific Method
Get ready for a wild ride through science! Each Monday, iGeners will become junior scientists as they dive into exciting, hands-on experiments and activities that explore chemistry, biology, earth science, anatomy, and more.
Through each experiment, children will learn and practice the scientific method—observing, forming hypotheses, experimenting, and drawing conclusions. From messy mixtures to surprising reactions, this class is perfect for curious minds who love to explore, discover, and get a little messy in the name of science!
