Robotics Program Overview
Grades Pre-K–K:
Our youngest engineers will build and program a series of robots, gaining hands-on experience with technology and teamwork. Students will also participate in fun and engaging robot challenges to apply what they’ve learned.
Grades 1–2:
Students will explore the fundamentals of engineering through real-world problem-solving, designing, and coding. Using LEGO® bricks, they’ll create unique solutions and inventions.
Team Building the STEAM Way
In this engaging, hands-on class, students will work together to solve creative challenges using science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). iGeners will explore engineering concepts while building teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Sample Activity: Straw Boats
Students will be given straws, packing tape, scissors, and weights to design and build a floating boat using only the materials provided. After testing their boats with weights, teams will reflect, redesign, and retest.
A class discussion will follow, covering:
What makes a boat float?
Which designs worked best—and why?
What challenges did teams face?
What tools or strategies might have helped?
This program is perfect for students who enjoy building, experimenting, and working with others—all while exploring real-world STEAM concepts in an exciting and supportive environment.
Get Ready to Code, Create, and Have Fun!
In this hands-on course, students will dive into the exciting world of coding using Scratch, a kid-friendly programming platform. Using colorful blocks and drag-and-drop tools, they’ll bring their ideas to life by building simple games, interactive stories, and animated scenes.
This course introduces key coding concepts like sequences, loops, and events in a fun and engaging way. Along the journey, kids will strengthen problem-solving skills, express creativity, and build confidence as digital creators. No prior experience is needed—just imagination and curiosity!
For our Pre-K and Kindergarten students, coding begins unplugged—learning fundamental concepts through physical activities without screens. They’ll then move on to coding a character as part of an outdoor adventure, and midway through the course, they’ll be introduced to Scratch Jr. to start coding on tablets.
Arts & Crafts
Let your child’s creativity and imagination run wild! In this hands-on class, children will explore a variety of materials and techniques as they paint, draw, cut, glue, and sculpt. In addition to traditional art projects, students will also design their own games, build toys, and create STEAM-inspired masterpieces that combine art with science and engineering.
Perfect for kids who love to create, invent, and express themselves through hands-on fun!
Mad Science
Get ready for a wild ride through science! Each Monday, iGeners will dive into exciting hands-on experiments and activities that explore a variety of scientific disciplines—including chemistry, biology, earth science, anatomy, and more.
From messy mixtures to surprising reactions, this class is perfect for curious minds who love to explore, discover, and get a little messy in the name of science!
